A day at MDA camp!

So, we were invited to teach kids floral arranging at The Variety Club Camp out in Worcester Pa. What an incredible experience!

Our first group included several young men who didn't want to do such a girlie activity! Right!! We informed them that many of the top floral designers in the world were men. They had a blast.Their arrangements went from the very traditional to the very, very artistic. We had one young man do an ode to Morticia Addams. It was a lovely pot of flowers with several of the flowers beheaded.

We were invited because of a program that I have been working with called "Flowers for Kids" We go into a school or camp and give a floral demonstration. The program is designed to be a little bit science and art. We altered the program a little for The MDA Camp and just did the art part. It was a wonderful day and we will hopefully be invited back. For information about our Flowers for Kids program or if you would like us to teach floral arranging to a camp or group give a call or send me an email.

Spring sprunged!?

Oh my goodness I can't believe how long it's been since I made an entry. Obviously we were very busy. Now I have lots of things to share.

Mothers' Day, Weddings, Proms, Flowers for kids, Bridal consultations, my life, my kids and parents life. Time flies. I guess I'll be making lots of little entries to catch up.

This wedding was on April 25th. Do you remember? This was the last really really fabulous day. It was 85 degrees. The wedding was at Pen Ryn and by 6:00 when the bride was walking down the aisle there was a lovely breeze.

What lovely choices my bride made, white and green hydrangea, roses and lisianthus. the flowers were spectacular and what a fun, fabulous day!
